Ali Bassam Hashash will never be free,
will never experience what we take for granted.
He lived his whole life, twenty-four years,
under Apartheid Israeli occupation,
and on Saturday July 27th Israeli regime
killed him at the Balata refugee camp
in Nablus, on Palestine's occupied West
Bank, occupation soldiers shot
him in the chest. And you won't find
his name on the lips of Ursula and Joe,
Emmanuel and Olaf, Kamala and Justin,
Keir and Anthony, and perhaps that's right -
those empty husks of humanity are unworthy
of young Ali Bassam Hashash,
whose twenty-four years were lived
under oppression by their Israeli friends.
