Our failure to become what we
should have been is not only
a personal failure, a loss of that
person that was awaiting in
our skin, gestating. That we
have instead become the tomb
of the unborn hurts all around
us; their wings clipped, their feet
stumbling, their minds not
blooming, and all because
that person we should have
given birth in us never came
to be. We didn't nurture what
was in us, and others pay
the price of letting ourselves
fail in this quest for that
person doesn't nurture them.
