The author doesn't just need to tell
the truth, they need to imprint,
brand the reader's thoughts with it.
To show the readers the well from
which to drink is not enough;
you need to make people also drink
from it and taste what they drink.
And now it's the iron from the blood
of the innocents they need to taste,
the faces of the murdered innocents
to be reflected in the surface
of the water, from every drop of water,
and to dominate their thoughts
