MY FAILURE TO SEE THE WHOLE

Like a workhorse with blinders

having a restricted view, I,

wearing mental blinders,

fail to see what is not

directly before me,

the big picture,

the context.

Or, like

stydying a stellar

nursery, covered in dust,

only via visible light, leaving

most of the protostars hidden;

that is my Achilles' heel - actually

a greater vulnerability, Achilles' head.
